Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to every order placed with Maelys Floral Atelier ("Maelys", "we", "us") through maelys.ae. By placing an order you accept them. If you have a question before ordering, write to info@maelys.ae.
Placing an order
An order is a request to purchase; it becomes binding on us only once payment has been received and we have confirmed the order by email. We may decline an order — for example where an arrangement is unavailable, a delivery address falls outside our service area, or we cannot verify the payment.
After you place an order you have a short window in which to complete payment, shown to you at checkout. Orders left unpaid beyond that window are cancelled automatically and the delivery slot is released.
Prices and payment
All prices are shown in United Arab Emirates dirhams (AED) and include VAT at 5%. Delivery fees and any service options are added at checkout and shown before you pay.
Payment is taken on our payment provider's secure page. We never see or store your card details. An order is treated as paid only once the provider confirms the payment to us.
Flowers are natural products
Every arrangement is composed by hand from fresh, seasonal stems. Colour, size and individual varieties vary with the season and the day's market. Where a specific flower is unavailable we will substitute a bloom of equal or greater value in a style faithful to the arrangement you chose. Photographs on this site are representative rather than exact.
Delivery
Delivery areas, fees, time windows and ordering cut-offs are shown at checkout for the address you enter, and are set out in our Delivery Policy.
Cancellations and refunds
Your cancellation and refund rights are set out in our Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Gift messages and anonymous sending
We write your gift message by hand on the atelier's card and it travels with the flowers. You are responsible for the content of any message you ask us to write, and we may decline to write anything unlawful or offensive. If you choose to send anonymously, your identity is not disclosed to the recipient — only your message accompanies the flowers.
Your account
If you create an account, keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe it has been compromised. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.
Our responsibility
We take care to deliver your order as arranged. Where something goes wrong that is our fault, our responsibility is limited to replacing the arrangement or refunding what you paid for it. We are not responsible for delays caused by circumstances outside our control, such as extreme weather, road closures, or an incorrect address or unavailable recipient.
Intellectual property
The Maelys name, the arrangements' names, the photography and the text on this site belong to us and may not be reproduced without our written permission.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
